Should I choose home or office based services?

Do you take insurance?

We are an out of network practice, so we do not accept insurance directly. This means that clients pay In-Home LCSW after each session and will receive a monthly invoice to submit to their insurance companies for possible reimbursement. We suggest calling your insurance company to discuss what out of network benefits they offer and if you have any deductibles. At this time, GHI is the only insurance company that will NOT reimburse for our services out of network. ‚Äč

What treatment modalities do you practice?

Depending on your concerns and presenting issues, therapists practice CBT, DBT, EMDR, Play Therapy, Solution Focused therapy.

What are your fees?

The initial consultation lasts one hour and the cost is $200.

45 minute sessions are $150.

60 minute sessions are $200.

What counties do you travel to?

Therapists travel to homes in Rockland, Westchester and Bergen counties in New York.

How often are sessions and how long do they last?
Generally, sessions are once per week for 45 minutes. If you would like multiple children to be seen, we also offer 60 minute sessions. Parents are designated 15 minutes of each session for feedback and questions.

Are your therapists licensed to treat my child?

Absolutely! All of our therapists are licensed, have their masters degree and have extensive training and experience. In-Home LCSW is very selective in our interviewing process and we only hire therapists that are extremely qualified to treat our families.

What can I expect if we schedule an intake?
Once it is determined which therapist would be a good fit for your family and an intake is scheduled, you will be asked to fill out some paperwork online. The intake is 45-60 minutes long and young children do not need to be present. The intake is an opportunity for you and your treating therapist to discuss your concerns in more detail and outline goals for treatment.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, credit cards and flex spending accounts.

Every child and family is unique, and therefore there is no set answer to this question. In our experience, we have found that young children, or those with anxiety and behavioral disorders, are most successful when treated in the home. Home based services allow children to feel safe and secure and therefore encourage the bond between them and their therapist. Older children often seek privacy and sometimes feel more comfortable in our office. If your home is small or you don't feel that you can ensure a private and quiet space for your child to be treated, you may also choose the office location. Young adults and women are always treated in the office.
